“So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better.”

Colossians 1:9-10

The mission of Life Groups is to grow together to love and serve the Lord.

What is a Life Group?

At All Nations Church, a “Life Group” is a small group of people who meet together on a regular basis to study the word of God, pray for one another, and get to know each other as they grow in their knowledge of God and seek to become more like Jesus. The groups can be as small as 6 or as large as 20, as space may allow. They may meet weekly, bi-weekly or monthly as well as get together for social events. Each group develops a “flavour” of its own, reflecting the personalities of those in the group, as people learn to live life Jesus’ way, loving one another.

In John 13:35, Jesus said, “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” Life groups are where we learn to do that.

What happens in a Life Group?

A Life Group meeting will vary somewhat from group to group. The relaxed atmosphere fostered by meeting in various homes (or online) provides the perfect setting for us to learn as we study God’s Word together. We enjoy sharing snacks, and our concerns while we pray for each other. Through these interactions with others, we learn to Know, Grow and Go. To Know the Lord Jesus, to Grow to be like Him, and to Go make a Difference in our world.

What is studied in these groups?

Various study materials are used, all based on the Bible. The goal of the studies is to help you grow in your knowledge of God and His Word, and put that knowledge into practice in your everyday life. We become disciples of Jesus as we become more and more like Him. This year we are launching Right Now Media, a new source of studies that may be used.
