Dominican Republic 2011

In April 2011 All Nations Church made its first trip to the Sosua region of Dominican Republic.

We partnered with Martin Rosene, a Northern Ontario native, who ministered in the DR for a few years.

He ran a medical clinic called Transformation House (now called Firm Foundation Health Center), and through this ministry he sought out ways to care for the children and families in need in the DR.

Many orphaned children were adopted through his efforts, and many people were cared for with the love of Jesus.

Martin and his wife, Cindy, eventually passed the clinic on to another group – Go MAD – our current Global Mission partner in the DR.

During our April 2011 trip we participated in the maintenance of the medical clinic, and helped with a mobile health clinic and feeding program in the DR countryside. We fixed up the bunk beds in the clinic, built a safety gate for the young children, and created a bus shelter and reception desk. Two of our team members were baptized during our week in the DR, and we met some truly amazing people on the trip!
