Global Mission and Local Service
All Nations Church is excited about encouraging you as you reach out to others with the love of Jesus Christ.
There are so many hurting people in our world – where do I start?
Start anywhere – whether it’s in your own home, neighbourhood, workplace, school, city, province, country or around the world.
You don’t have to look far to find someone who could use a helping hand.
Jesus gave us the Great Commission and the Great Commandments and encouraged us to reach out to specific people in our world…
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” – Matthew 28:18-20
*ANC partners with organizations that share the gospel, in order to fulfill the mandate of making disciples and teaching them the commandments of God.
“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ – Matthew 22:36-39
*ANC partners with organizations that encourage sustainable change and development for our local and global neighbours.
*ANC also encourages sustainable change and development in our own lives, so that we may fulfill the call to love our neighbours as ourselves.
Specific People Jesus Encouraged Us to Reach Out To…
The Hungry, the Thirsty, the Strangers
For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in – Matthew 25:35
Those without clothes, the Sick, the Prisoners
I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. – Matthew 25:36
Orphans and Widows
Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. – James 1:27
For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost. – Luke 19:10
The Poor, the Blind, the Oppressed
The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free – Luke 4:18
The Crippled, the Lame
But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind – Luke 14:13
The Lepers, the Deaf
The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor. – Matthew 11:5
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem (local), and in all Judea (regional) and Samaria (Northern Ontario and across Canada), and to the ends of the earth (around the globe). – Acts 1:8
